ROOK ("ROOK," "we," "us," or "our") operates rookcareers.com, a platform connecting medical and veterinary sales professionals with job opportunities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information: your name, email address, and password (handled securely through our authentication provider) when you create an account.

Profile and résumé data: your résumé, work history, industry experience, product knowledge, territory and compensation preferences, location (including home zip code), and any other information you provide to build your career profile.

Location data: when you browse jobs without an account, we use your IP address to approximate your general location so we can show relevant nearby roles. This is an estimate, not precise tracking, and is not stored against any account.

Payment information: if you subscribe, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your payment card details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Usage data: information about how you interact with ROOK, such as jobs viewed, saved, or applied to, and pages visited.

3. How We Use Your Information

To match you with relevant job opportunities using our scoring and matching system
To generate AI-assisted materials you request, such as tailored résumé summaries and cover letters, based only on the résumé content you provide
To process your subscription payment and manage your account
To communicate with you about your account, matches, or applications
To improve the accuracy and relevance of our matching system

4. How We Share Your Information

With employers and recruiters: if you apply to a job or your subscription reveals a listing's employer details, your résumé and application materials may be shared with that employer or recruiter as part of the application process.

With service providers who help us operate ROOK:

Anthropic — processes résumé and job description text to power our AI-based matching and content generation
Stripe — processes subscription payments
Supabase — hosts our database and manages authentication
Resend — delivers account and notification emails

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can review and update your profile information at any time through your account settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the information below.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable time, except where retention is required for legal, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

ROOK is intended for working professionals and is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 18.
